“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”
Romans 10:13‭-‬15 KJV

I find in the pages of God’s Holy Word, that sharing our faith is not a mere suggestion but a Command.

And yet so many of us shrink at the thought.  Is it fear?

Fear of what?

Rejection?,  Our Lord said that if the world rejected Him, it would also reject us. Rejection should not take us by surprise.  We expect rejection.

Death? Persecution?  We are called to lie down our lives for the cause of Christ. Our brothers and sisters are being martyred in many parts of the world right now. They are suffering and giving up their lives for the very gospel we fear to share with others in our free countries.   Why fear ?,  Jesus said:  Blessed are you if you are persecuted and insulted  because of His name.

Not knowing what to say?  Afraid of being made a fool by someone who knows their false demonic beliefs  better than we know how to contend for our faith, afraid they will rip up to shreds?.

Discouragement   We are sharing the Gospel but nothing is happening. People are not committing their lives to Christ.  Are we doing something wrong?

Whatever our reluctance, we must seek the Lord in prayer and truly desire to be used of Him  to reach our family, friends, co-workers and strangers.  Whosoever the Lord will bring our way.  We must ask the Lord to give us opportunities to share His Gospel of Grace. All for His Glory!

Perhaps we don’t share our faith because we don’t have  time?  The cares of this world have taken over our lives and we forget why we are here.                                Jesus said  we should seek first His Kingdom .

It is the aim of my post tonight, to encourage you and me to witness without fear.   To be as bold as a lion.

In this politically correct world of ours,  where good is called bad and bad is called good, people need to hear the message of Christ.  WE HAVE GOOD NEWS, to share with those who want to hear.

We can not open someone’s heart to the truth of the Gospel.  Only God can by His Holy Spirit resident in us who believe.   We must totally yield to the Spirit’s leading. God can use our willingness as we present our body as a living sacrifice daily.  We must  totally depend on the Holy Spirit to guide us and empower us to be effective witnesses for Christ.

Without Christ, WE CAN DO NOTHING.

Some of Christ’s last words here on earth were “Go and make disciples”.  We must obey Him.  He is Lord and Captain of our lives.

Prayer is an integral part of being prepared to share the hope that is in us. Also we must warn people of God’s wrath coming  upon a sinful world without repentance, a world that scorns and mocks our Lord Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on the cross.

I am compelled to share what is in my heart tonight as I feel a sense urgency to reach the lost.

Dear family in the Lord, sharing our faith is not a request,  it is our duty our command from our Commading officer, the highest authority in the universe, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be the Glory forever and ever.

May the Lord bless you and empower you as you seek His face.

  1. Yes Cristina very True, we need to be Passionate about sharing our Faith, Jesus told the Disciples to wait for Pentecost when they would be filled with the Spirit and than go our into all the World and share the Gospel with Power and as confirmed in Scripture they were Passionate not lukewarm.

Have we ever been Passionate about something, I mean really Passionate or have we known others who are ? someone who is really on fire for what they believe or cherish, perhaps Conservation, World Peace, Sport, Elvis, Grandchildren a Woman or Man they love… out comes the photos or brag book, eyes are bright, smiles, exuberance, excitement is bubbling over, nothing is better and if it’s a loved one, they can do no wrong, they love them. They think about what or who they are Passionate about most of the time, they talk about it or them, they defend them or it, they fight for them, they want to be with them or participate and be involved in what they hold as extremely important, they never weary of listening to them or hearing about it, there loyalty never wavers, they are 100% committed and they are absolutely in no way lukewarm.

Passion is one of the faces of True Love, God’s Love reflects it’s intensity but there is so much more…so why does God ask us to seek and Love Him with all our heart, with all our all, because we need to and in doing so we will find true contentment and fulfilment and yes we will be Passionate. We need to Love fully, we need to give all, any less will leave us wanting, we were Created to Love 100% and God’s Love is Sacrificial, Constant, Faithful, Committed, Loyal and never ending, it is not at all Saccharine sweet, that leaves a bitter after taste or is it watered down, cold or lukewarm.

When we Love God 100% we will Love ourselves and others and be at Peace but we can’t have God’s Love without God, we ask Him for His Love and He gives it to us and then as we walk in it’s Fruit by the empowering of The Holy Spirit, His Love overflows as it cleanses and heals us and motivates us to Minister to others in The Body of Christ and to reach out to a hurting World as Jesus’ hands, Arms, feet and voice.

The Bible is my Brag-book and I’m Passionate about the Author… He is 100% Love and He is Passionate about us, He tells us that He delights in us and He Sings Songs to us.

Matthew 22 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt Love the Lord thy God with all thy Heart, and with all thy Soul, and with all thy Mind. This is the first and great Commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt Love thy Neighbour as thyself. On these two Commandments hang all the law and the Prophets.

Jeremiah 29:12-14 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me when ye shall search for me with all your Heart. And I will be found of you, saith the LORD:

Hi Anne, I like what you said, “The Bible is my brag-book and I’m passionate
      about the Author”.
Yes, one can not be passionate about something and yet remind idle. For me without Jesus life doesn’t make any sense. It is totally futile.
Thank you Anne for taking the time to add your comments.
      In Christ’s love,
